Transfer Times & Logistics

MCO to Disney World area (Magic Kingdom / EPCOT) takes 25–40 minutes under normal traffic. Count on 30–45 minutes during peak arrival windows (9–11 AM, 2–4 PM) or when I-4 is backed up. We monitor your flight and adjust pickup timing — you don't need to factor in extra buffer time on your end. If your flight lands at 9:30 PM after a 6-hour day at the park, expect 35–50 minutes to the airport.
MCO to Universal Studios takes 15–25 minutes — it's the shortest major trip from the airport. Our flat rate is $80 for sedan, $105 for SUV. There's no direct shuttle; Uber typically runs $30–$55 depending on surge. We include meet-and-greet, flight tracking, and door-to-door drop-off at Universal's main entrance. For Universal-to-Disney cross-park days, see our Theme Park Transportation guide.
We accept bookings with as little as 2 hours' notice, but we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead for airport runs. The earlier you book, the more time we have to match you with the best driver for your flight. During major holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Spring Break), advance booking is strongly encouraged — those days book out. There's no penalty for booking early, and you can always cancel 4+ hours before pickup.

Surge Pricing & Costs

No. Our rates are flat. They don't change based on demand, time of day, or the day of the week. When you book, you lock in that rate. Uber and Lyft at MCO regularly surge to 2–5x normal during school breaks and major events. Our prices stay the same on all of these days — including Christmas Eve, Spring Break Saturday, and convention closing day. See our full pricing page for all flat rates.
Rideshare surge peaks during: Spring Break (mid-March – mid-April), Summer peak (June – August), Christmas / New Year week, Halloween weekend, and major convention check-in days. Disney marathon weekends and Universal Halloween Horror Nights also push Uber surge above 3x. MCO arrival screens during these periods show Uber quotes of $90–$180 where our flat rate is $75–$85. Book ahead and skip the spike.
At off-peak times for solo travelers, Uber is often cheaper — but only if you catch it during non-surge windows. During surge events (which cover roughly 60% of weekend arrivals at MCO), our flat rates are comparable to or cheaper than Uber's inflated surge price. The math tips heavily in our favor when you factor in: no surge, meet-and-greet included, real-time flight tracking, luggage handling, and a dedicated driver. For families or groups, private car is almost always the better value. See our full rate card.

Airport vs. Rideshare

For solo travelers with no luggage at off-peak times, Uber is fine. For families, groups over 4, anyone with luggage, or travel during peak periods — a private car service is significantly better. You get a fixed price (no surge), a dedicated driver waiting at baggage claim, real-time flight tracking, and door-to-door service. Uber's quote at booking can triple by the time you reach the pickup zone. We wrote a full comparison on our Airport Transportation page.
Yes — Uber and Lyft are legal at MCO and operate from the ground-level transportation hub (Level 1, near Zone A of the parking garage). However, pricing is unpredictable (3–5x surge during peak times), wait times at the curb can exceed 20 minutes during heavy arrival waves, and driver quality varies significantly. Our vehicles are commercially licensed, fully insured, and our drivers are background-checked. If safety and reliability matter more than saving $10, a private car is the clear choice.
Uber pickup is at Level 1 (ground floor) of the Parking Garage A, adjacent to the terminal. Follow the "Transportation Hub" signs after you collect your luggage. It's a 5–10 minute walk from baggage claim to the pickup zone, or you can take the elevator down from Level 3 of the terminal. The Uber app will show you the exact zone letter. Our driver meets you inside the terminal at the baggage belt — no walking required.

Policies & Practicalities

Cancellations made 4+ hours before scheduled pickup are fully refundable. Cancellations within 4 hours are subject to a 50% fee. No-shows are billed in full. Corporate account holders have a 24-hour cancellation window. If your flight changes or gets delayed significantly, just call — we rebook at no charge. We understand that flights get disrupted; our policy is designed to be fair to both sides.
We track every flight in real time. If your plane is late, your driver waits — at no extra charge. There's no cut-off time or grace period that triggers an additional fee. We just push the pickup window forward and keep the car there when you land. For international flights with customs delays, same applies — we hold until you're cleared and at the curb. Yes. Book under your name, add the traveler's name and flight number in the notes. Our drivers track the actual flight, not the booking name. Your parents don't need to do anything — our driver will meet them at baggage claim with a name card. If you want the confirmation sent to the traveler instead of you, just say so in the notes. This is one of our most common use cases — booking transport for aging parents or out-of-town family.
We provide rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing car seats, and booster seats at no extra charge — just request them when you book and tell us your children's ages and weights. Florida law requires children under 5 to be in a federally approved car seat; we make compliance easy and included. Every vehicle we dispatch is equipped to handle whatever your family needs. See our MCO to Disney guide for more family travel tips.
Yes, for up to 15 minutes at no extra charge. We build in one stop for airport runs — for example, stopping at a grocery store near your hotel. For longer stops or multiple stops, we add a small wait fee. Just mention it when you book so we can quote accurately and route accordingly. This is especially useful for families doing a Costco or Publix run before reaching their hotel.
Tips are never required but are always appreciated — 15–20% is the standard for excellent service. If your driver helped with luggage, was on time, professional, and friendly, a tip reflects that. It's entirely your call. Many corporate accounts add a standard gratuity to the invoice; if that's you, just let us know when setting up your account.
